Running FortiOS 8.0, the appliances support a new FortiSASE Outpost mode that extends cloud-based SASE enforcement to on-premises sites, private data centers, and colocation facilities. This allows organizations to deploy a local SASE point of presence with centralized cloud management, consistent zero-trust policies, and data sovereignty controls, without building separate security stacks.
