The KDE desktop installation option for FreeBSD, originally planned for version 15.0 and then delayed to 15.1, has been pushed back again to FreeBSD 15.2. The delay is due to the need to update the installation script for new NVIDIA drivers, remove obsolete parts, and complete a testing period in CURRENT before merging into STABLE. FreeBSD 15.2-RELEASE is expected in December. In the meantime, users can install KDE Plasma manually via pkg post-install.
