OpenSearchCon has renamed and expanded its Search track into a dedicated Search & Apache Lucene track, following community feedback that Lucene no longer has its own standalone conference. The new track focuses on relevancy tuning, analyzers, scoring, and deep technical dives into Lucene internals, alongside OpenSearch operational content. The change led to a surge in high-quality CFP submissions. The conference takes place September 22–24 in San Jose.
