A first-hand account of live-streaming multiple talks at Embedded World 2019, covering the practical challenges encountered: a broken tripod, missing camera accessories, unreliable venue WiFi, difficulties purchasing German SIM cards, wireless microphone interference, and white balance issues. The author shares session-by-session lessons learned, including using XLR feeds from the venue audio console for better sound, starting streams early to catch problems, and keeping backup equipment. Despite a rocky first day, the experiment improved over time and the author plans to continue live-streaming future embedded engineering events.
