Gala, a blockchain-based gaming platform, migrated from Databricks to ClickHouse on AWS to handle growing data volumes from its game telemetry. The migration resulted in query times dropping from minutes to sub-second, a 3x increase in analyzable data (from 3TB to 9TB), and a 30% reduction in costs. The team also integrated Metabase for self-serve BI, enabling non-technical staff to run their own analytics. Data sources include Kafka, Amazon S3, Airbyte, and Fivetran, with plans to further optimize using ClickHouse's ClickPipes ELT pipeline.
