Google has expanded Gemini Spark, its agentic AI assistant, to macOS via the existing Gemini desktop app. The update brings file management capabilities, real-time topic tracking, and new app integrations including Google Tasks, Google Keep, Canva, Dropbox, Instacart, OpenTable, and Zillow Rentals. Custom MCP (Model Context Protocol) support is also rolling out, enabling users to connect their own apps. The macOS beta is currently limited to Google AI Ultra subscribers in the U.S. Future updates will allow users to assign multi-step tasks from their phones to the desktop agent.
