Two new InfluxDB 3 plugins — the Bird Tracking Simulator and the Signal Generator — let developers generate synthetic time series data with minimal setup. The Bird Tracking Simulator creates persistent bird telemetry with geospatial fields and tags, while the Signal Generator produces configurable numeric waveforms (sine, square, noise, spikes) useful for testing dashboards, alerts, and anomaly detection. Both are scheduled plugins triggered via simple CLI commands, making it easy to populate a fresh InfluxDB 3 instance with realistic data for testing queries, dashboards, replication, and downstream workflows.
