Dagster+ has revamped its alerting suite to help data teams catch pipeline failures before stakeholders notice. The new system is built around four principles: simple but flexible configuration, clear and actionable notifications, reliable and trustworthy delivery, and contextual display within the Dagster UI. Teams can target specific assets, jobs, or code locations, suppress flaky failures, add custom runbook content to notifications, and manage alert policies via UI or config files in source control. Notifications integrate with Slack, email, Microsoft Teams, and PagerDuty. Future roadmap items include asset freshness SLAs, platform health trends, and pipeline cost management.
