GigaDevice has launched its first EEPROM family, the GD24CL I²C EEPROM series, targeting industrial, IoT, energy, data center, and networking applications. Key highlights include up to 4 million program/erase cycles (4x the industry standard), 100-year data retention, hardware ECC, and three I²C clock speeds (100 kHz, 400 kHz, 1 MHz). The series supports an operating temperature range of -40°C to 125°C, a wide voltage range of 1.7V–5.5V, and ultra-low standby current of 1 µA. Security features include a write-protect pin and a permanently lockable security page. The first product, the 256-Kb GD24CL256B, is sampling now, with 128-Kb and 512-Kb variants planned for H1 2027.
