# GitHub Dark Mode is too Dark

## Summary

GitHub’s dark mode colors are darker than their counterparts in other apps. This can make it harder to read text. For something as important as code review, I’m using GitHub light mode. The red / green for code diffs looks super off to me.

> It's perfectly fine. I'm someone who can have a tough time seeing things with low contrast, but never once have I had any sort of trouble with dark mode.

> I totally disagree, it's dark enough (and I say this as someone who used many dark theme variants on GH, and who uses dark themes in general alongside some light ones).
