<p>It’d be extremely stupid from Microsoft to do something that’d make an entire FOSS community angry… but then again one of their ex CEOs did call Linux a cancer, so, idk. He also said he loves it now, but it could as well be a “please don’t hate me” stunt.</p>
<p>Having said all that, speculation is irrelevant, we’ll have to wait to find out what this means exactly.</p>


<p>This is gonna be interesting. I’m waiting to see the impact on us, the developers. I’d never imagine GitHub to be transitioned to be under an AI group</p>

<p>Ugh well I don’t see this going all that well for us devs. It kind of feels like Microsoft is saying that it doesn’t value open source like we do.
But it does need it, to make more money off of 🙄</p>
<p>Hopefully this all works out, but I’m hesitant to believe it will.</p>
