GitLab is introducing GitLab Flex, a new annual commitment model that lets organizations dynamically reallocate budget across seats, AI usage credits, and new platform capabilities month to month without re-procurement. Unlike traditional fixed contracts, Flex allows shifting spend between seat licenses and AI consumption from a single unified commitment. It works across GitLab.com SaaS, Self-Managed, and Dedicated deployments. Larger commitments unlock better unit pricing, and on-demand usage above the commitment bills at $1 per credit. Existing customers can stay on current contracts through renewal, but Flex is the recommended structure for new agreements.
