Good News Gamers! GOG is Officially Coming to Linux

I’m recently finding out there can be a StarCraft 2 quote for everything. Here, it would be Tychus: “Hell, it’s about time…”. 😉
I’m happy right now, because it’s always better to have an official client. There are alternatives already, of course, but I’m really counting on proper support this time. The alternatives have some quirks that need working out like, let’s say, launching a Windows version of DOSBox through Wine/Proton for DOS-based games from GOG (I know GOG bundles like that and Heroic basically doesn’t care about it… at least not yet).

GOG on Linux is finally becoming a real option. Sure, you could install your games with Lutris, but you didn’t have the save file syncing and it was honestly a deal breaker for me. Glad they are goin in the right direction.

Not a gamer, but these are great news (even for wine/proton)

I think someone from CD Projekt said “there’s no plans for Galaxy Client on Linux” couple of years ago. And here we are.
I remember trying almost anything to make Galaxy work, but Online features were no go. Heroic Launcher is a very solid alternative for now, also for manually added games of all sorts.
