You save a prompt once — say, a recipe analyzer or a product comparison template — and can trigger it later with a forward slash or the plus button in the sidebar. Google also ships a pre-built library of common Skills for things like document scanning and price comparisons, so you don't have to build everything from scratch. You can create a custom Skill directly from your chat history, and they sync across signed-in Chrome desktop devices on Mac, Windows, and ChromeOS (English-US only for now). AI Pro and Ultra subscribers get an extra layer: Skills can include actual browser actions, not just text prompts. There are privacy guardrails — the feature asks for confirmation before taking sensitive actions. Compared to what competitors are doing, this is fairly basic.
