In partnership with Indian education providers like PhysicsWallah and Careers360, Google offers AI-powered practice tests with immediate feedback and personalized study plans for over 247 million students. The initiative includes a $10 million grant from Google.org to Wadhwani AI, aiming to impact 75 million students and educators by 2027. India serves as a testing ground for Google's global AI education strategy due to its decentralized curricula, diverse languages, and connectivity challenges, positioning Google against competitors like OpenAI and Microsoft in the education AI space. ## Content Google is making significant strides in integrating AI into education systems, with a particular focus on India. Leveraging its AI platform, Gemini, Google introduces educational tools tailored for the intense demands of India's Joint Entrance Exam (JEE). This initiative follows the success of offering AI-powered practice tests for the SAT, aiming to democratize access to exam preparation resources. In collaboration with Indian education providers like PhysicsWallah and Careers360, Google's offering includes full-length practice exams that provide immediate feedback and personalized study plans. These tools are designed to support over 247 million students across India's vast and varied education system. Google's approach in India serves as a testing ground for scaling AI in education globally, given India's decentralized curricula, diverse languages, and challenging connectivity environments. Gemini's capabilities also extend to the inclusion of broader AI educational tools, such as AI Mode in Search with Canvas for study guide creation, and an array of resources for teachers to develop podcast-style lessons. Beyond content delivery, this move reflects Google's commitment to addressing educational inequalities, evidenced by a $10 million grant from Google.org to Wadhwani AI, with the goal of impacting 75 million students and educators by 2027. While Google's AI-powered educational tools promise to enhance learning and make prep resources more accessible, they also raise questions about the impact on traditional tutoring and potential effects on students' critical thinking skills. As Google continues to collaborate with governmental and educational bodies in India, the lessons learned here are shaping its global AI education strategy, in competition with contemporaries like OpenAI and Microsoft. ## Similar posts on daily.dev - [Google brings Gemini in Chrome to India](https://daily.dev/posts/google-brings-gemini-in-chrome-to-india-auothtqwe) · TechCrunch · 1 upvotes · 0 comments - [Google DeepMind Partnerships in India: scaling AI in science and education](https://daily.dev/posts/google-deepmind-partnerships-in-india-scaling-ai-in-science-and-education-efhsydr5k) · DeepMind · 0 upvotes · 0 comments - [Supporting Viksit Bharat: Announcing AI investments in India](https://daily.dev/posts/supporting-viksit-bharat-announcing-ai-investments-in-india-0vs0if58g) · Google Cloud · 0 upvotes · 0 comments - [Google Finance offers Gemini AI tools to stock traders](https://daily.dev/posts/google-finance-offers-gemini-ai-tools-to-stock-traders-ekpkodtsq) · The Verge · 1 upvotes · 0 comments --- Tags: [#ai](https://daily.dev/tags/ai), [#machine-learning](https://daily.dev/tags/machine-learning), [#google](https://daily.dev/tags/google), [#google-gemini](https://daily.dev/tags/google-gemini), [#edtech](https://daily.dev/tags/edtech) [View this post on daily.dev](https://daily.dev/posts/google-enhances-educational-resources-with-gemini-ai-for-competitive-exam-preparation-4uewz4xmd) ```json {"@context":"https://schema.org","@graph":[{"@type":"Organization","@id":"https://daily.dev/#organization","name":"daily.dev","url":"https://daily.dev","logo":{"@type":"ImageObject","url":"https://daily.dev/apple-touch-icon.png","width":180,"height":180},"sameAs":["https://twitter.com/dailydotdev","https://github.com/dailydotdev","https://www.linkedin.com/company/daily-dev-ltd"]},{"@type":"WebSite","@id":"https://daily.dev/#website","url":"https://daily.dev","name":"daily.dev","publisher":{"@id":"https://daily.dev/#organization"},"potentialAction":{"@type":"SearchAction","target":{"@type":"EntryPoint","urlTemplate":"https://daily.dev/search?q={search_term_string}"},"query-input":"required name=search_term_string"}}]} {"@context":"https://schema.org","@type":"TechArticle","headline":"Google Enhances Educational Resources with Gemini AI for Competitive Exam Preparation","url":"https://daily.dev/posts/google-enhances-educational-resources-with-gemini-ai-for-competitive-exam-preparation-4uewz4xmd","mainEntityOfPage":{"@type":"WebPage","@id":"https://daily.dev/posts/google-enhances-educational-resources-with-gemini-ai-for-competitive-exam-preparation-4uewz4xmd"},"datePublished":"2026-01-28T10:35:52.867Z","dateModified":"2026-01-29T15:34:39.899Z","description":"Google is expanding its Gemini AI platform to provide exam preparation tools for Indian students, particularly targeting the Joint Entrance Exam (JEE).
