A US District Court has found Google liable for monopolizing key segments of the digital advertising technology market. The court concluded that Google unlawfully acquired and maintained monopoly power in the markets for publisher ad servers and ad exchanges and engaged in illegal tying practices. The case was brought by the US federal government and several states, citing violations of the Sherman Antitrust Act. Google plans to appeal parts of the decision.
