Google announced Gemini Spark at its I/O 2026 developer conference, a new 24/7 agentic personal assistant built on Gemini base models and Google Antigravity's agentic framework. Spark runs on dedicated Google Cloud VMs, meaning it operates without requiring the user's device to stay on. It integrates natively with Gmail, Google Docs, and other Workspace products, and users can interact with it via a dedicated Gmail address. The agent can browse the web through Chrome and is trackable on Android via the new Halo system. It also supports MCP for third-party integrations. Spark is currently in testing and will be available to Google AI Ultra subscribers the following week.
