Users can change their address up to three times with a mandatory 12-month waiting period between changes. The old address continues to work for receiving emails and signing into Google services. The feature is rolling out gradually and currently documented only on Google's Hindi support page. ## Content Google is introducing a much-anticipated feature that allows users to change their @gmail.com email addresses. Previously, this functionality was unavailable for Gmail users, unlike those using third-party email addresses. This new feature permits users to switch their Gmail username while retaining their old address as an alias. This alias continues to work for receiving emails as well as for signing into Google services. There are, however, some restrictions to this new flexibility. Users will be able to change their Gmail address up to three times, resulting in a total of four different addresses over time. There is also a compulsory waiting period of 12 months between each email address change. The rollout of this feature is gradual, meaning not all users will have immediate access.
