Google announced Fitbit Air, a screenless fitness band priced at $100 that competes directly with Whoop. It tracks vitals and sleep 24/7, lasts up to a week, and is powered by the new Google Health app (a rebranded Fitbit app). A free tier covers basics like activity and sleep tracking, while a $10/month subscription unlocks Gemini-powered AI features including photo-based meal logging, adaptive fitness plans, detailed sleep insights, and an AI coach. The band launches May 26th with 3 months of free subscription, and is included for existing Google AI Pro/Ultra subscribers.
