Google Maps is expanding its 'Ask Maps' AI feature with agentic capabilities that let users order food, book hotels, and find event tickets directly within the app. Supported food ordering integrates with platforms like Square, Toast, and Uber Eats. Hotel search includes price comparison and availability checks. A new Personal Intelligence integration (off by default) connects Ask Maps to Gmail and Google Calendar for personalized responses about flights, reservations, and more. Ask Maps also gains conversation memory and a live transit widget. These features are rolling out to U.S. users, with Personal Intelligence and the transit widget available in all Ask Maps markets.
