My issues with using something like IDX is that you're having to program something through a browser tab. I imagine there'd be some lag/unresponsiveness if the service was busy or internet connection was unstable. Using Google collaboration tools for programming also seems unnecessary as people already use the free, portable, and cross-platform Git.
