# Grafana 13.2 release: easier ways to query and explore your data

**[Grafana Labs](https://daily.dev/sources/grafana)** · 8 min read · 14 upvotes · 0 comments

## Summary

Grafana 13.2 introduces saved queries, now generally available in Grafana Cloud and Enterprise, letting teams share, discover, and reuse trusted queries across dashboards, Explore, and annotations, with role-based access control, command palette access, and Terraform provisioning. Grafana Assistant now supports over 30 data sources and can help build the saved query library. The release also adds a View panel sidebar (public preview) for exploring busy time series panels without edit permissions, expands Git Sync with GitHub Enterprise support, GitLab/BitBucket webhooks, and commit authoring, refreshes the default homepage, and adds Workload Identity Federation for BigQuery/Google Cloud Monitoring, a redesigned query variable editor, and multi-select panel grouping.

## Questions this post answers

### What are saved queries in Grafana 13.2 and how do they work?

Saved queries, now generally available in Grafana Cloud and Grafana Enterprise as of Grafana 13.2, let teams save a query with a title, description, and tags from dashboard panels, Explore, or annotation queries, creating a shared library. Anyone in the organization can browse, search, and reuse these queries, mapping variables to their own dashboard, and access is controlled via role-based access control.

It is available in Grafana Cloud, including the free tier, and is also accessible from self-managed Grafana OSS installations from Grafana 13 onward by installing a plugin and connecting to a Grafana Cloud account.
