Despite achieving significant progress such as porting the NVMM VMX backend and patching QEMU, several bugs and unresolved issues remain, particularly relating to different OS behavior, poor performance on real hardware, and technical challenges with memory management and TLB flushing. The project also provided valuable learning experiences in virtualization, paging, and kernel development.
