Previously disabled as a workaround for rendering corruption since August 2024, the optimization is now enabled for read-only depth tests, improving performance by avoiding HiZ planes for draw calls that compute depth. Benchmarks show around 3% better frame rates in Cyberpunk 2077 on Alchemist and Battlemage graphics, and 1–2% gains in Hogwarts Legacy across Alchemist to Panther Lake integrated graphics.
