It exposes Echo devices as proper Home Assistant entities with Speak/Announce notify entities, volume control, Do Not Disturb, and sensor data like temperature and connectivity. The catch: everything still routes through Amazon's cloud API with a default 5-minute polling interval — local control is not available, and privacy concerns remain. Timer, Reminder, Alarm, and media player controls are missing, and the Echo Plus Zigbee radio remains inaccessible.
