# How we built TwitterMatic.net - Part 5: the front-end

**[Maarten Balliauw](https://daily.dev/sources/maartenballiauw)** · 6 min read · 0 upvotes · 0 comments

## Summary

Part of a build series for TwitterMatic.net, walking through creating the ASP.NET MVC front-end for scheduling tweets. Covers the Create action method's GET/POST handling, a basic ASPX view enhanced with jQuery UI datepicker and a timepickr plugin, a live character counter for the 140-character limit, and how DataAnnotations (via the DataAnnotationsModelBinder) are used on the TimedTweet model to validate required fields, string length, and a custom future-date rule instead of manual validation code in the controller.
