monday.com's engineering team reduced developer feedback loops from 30 minutes to 30 seconds by replacing per-developer ephemeral cloud environments with 'Monday Mirror', an internal tool built on top of Mirrord. Instead of spinning up isolated full-stack environments (costing ~$450/month per developer), Monday Mirror injects a developer's local process into the existing staging cluster via syscall hijacking, eliminating cold boot times. Beyond the technical solution, the post focuses on the sociotechnical challenge of getting 1,000 engineers to adopt the tool through a Golden Path approach, hackathons, open office hours, pair programming, and internal champions. Results: 89% of engineers reported higher productivity, 100% would recommend it, and the company saves $20k+ per month in infrastructure costs.
