# I AM SO DISAPPOINTED WITH UBUNTU 24.04 😡

## Summary

Ubuntu 24.04 LTS has removed the ability to install deb files using the official graphical software center, which has caused frustration among users. Canonical has not fixed this bug and it is suspected to be a deliberate move. The removal of deb packages in favor of snaps is also a concern.

> Looks a bit like you now need a universal package manager manager to manage all the universal package managers that shift beneath the OSs and might change over time.
> The fragmentation of package formats across linux distros can be cumbersome also but pulling the rug from under that kind of solid structure like built in package managers is really annoying.
