I created a small JetBrains plugin called Claude Commit Message.
The motivation came from a real frustration: while testing other AI assistants, including June AI, I often felt the workflow was too limited. Sometimes the assistant would freeze, slow down, or add friction to something that should be simple.
Commit messages are a perfect example. They are repetitive, but still important for debugging, code review, and project history.
So I built a plugin that adds a button directly to the PyCharm / IntelliJ commit message toolbar.
When clicked, it collects the selected changes, builds a unified diff, sends it to Claude, and writes the generated commit message back into the commit field.
It supports:
