Google announced a unified agent development toolkit at I/O '26, centered on the Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform. The ecosystem is organized as four rungs: Agent Studio (low-code visual builder), Managed Agents API (agent-as-a-service), Antigravity 2.0 (desktop app and CLI for AI-assisted coding and agent orchestration), and ADK 2.0 (code-first framework for custom agent meshes). Antigravity 2.0 is a new standalone desktop app for orchestrating coding agents, with a matching CLI sharing the same harness. ADK 2.0 adds collaborative workflows in Python, dynamic workflows, and Kotlin beta support. All rungs share the A2A protocol for interoperability, and enterprise users can connect Antigravity to their Google Cloud project for security and compliance.
