# I tested Cursor’s new Jira integration and it’s 5 stars, no notes. Here’s why.

## Summary

Cursor launched a Jira integration that lets developers assign tickets directly to an AI agent. The author ran four real-world tests on the HTTPie open source codebase — two with clearly written tickets and two with vague ones — covering both bug fixes and feature requests. Results were impressive across the board: Cursor fixed bugs, added regression tests, cross-referenced GitHub issues autonomously, and even built a complete feature implementation from a two-sentence vague description with no acceptance criteria. The integration requires Cursor Teams (~$40/month) and Jira. Setup was straightforward. The author recommends it for prototypes and personal projects but not yet for production code.
