monday.com faced challenges with managing infrastructure at scale, leading them to develop Ensemble, their in-house Terraform CI/CD tool. They explored solutions like Terraform Workspaces and tfvars files but ultimately found CDKTF to be more flexible and suited to their needs. CDKTF allows them to provision infrastructure using a familiar programming language and dynamically generate backend and providers. They are currently implementing CDKTF for managing EKS clusters and other application-related resources.
