I made a power supply for my homelab compute cluster
A detailed walkthrough of designing and building a custom 1U rack-mounted power supply unit for a homelab compute cluster. The project consolidates four individual 65W power adapters into a single sleek unit using USB-C Power Delivery boards, a custom PCB with individual fuses and MOSFET switching, and a Meanwell 336W power supply housed in powder-coated stainless steel. The design supports five outputs, includes active cooling, and uses 2oz copper traces for thermal management. Future improvements include smart monitoring via ESP32, individual port switching, and increased output capacity.
