Cursor version 3.8 brings several enhancements to its Automations feature. A new /automate skill lets users create automations directly from a local agent session using plain language. Slack integration gains an emoji-based trigger to kick off automations from any message. Five new GitHub triggers are added, covering issue comments, PR review comments, PR review submissions, review thread updates, and GitHub Actions workflow completions. Cloud agents can now use a computer use tool to produce demos or artifacts. Additional improvements include saving automations in incomplete states, automatic PR opening, and memory file management.
