Infleqtion announced plans to deploy its Sqale neutral-atom quantum computer at the Illinois Quantum & Microelectronics Park in 2027, alongside opening a new Chicago Quantum Innovation Center. The Sqale platform targets 50+ logical qubits with a path to 100 logical qubits and over 1,000 physical qubits, integrated with NVIDIA NVQLink for GPU-accelerated hybrid computing. The Chicago center will focus on applying quantum optimization to energy grid challenges including unit commitment, contingency analysis, and nuclear fuel loading. Infleqtion already has operational systems in the UK and Japan, and holds ARPA-E funding for the ENCODE project targeting energy delivery optimization.
