Apple's WWDC26 special presentation covers the full Apple Intelligence developer platform. Xcode 27 introduces agentic coding with plan mode, parallel conversations, plugin support via Agent Client Protocol, and integrations with Anthropic, OpenAI, and Google models. The Foundation Models framework gains image input, Private Cloud Compute access (free for App Store Small Business Program developers), third-party model support via a new LanguageModel protocol, multi-session context sharing, and an open-source Evaluations framework for prompt engineering. App Intents gets deeper Siri integration through entity schemas, semantic indexing, on-screen entity annotations, and interaction donations. Core AI is introduced as a new framework for running custom on-device models with full PyTorch conversion tooling, a debugger, and pre-compiled model assets. MLX also receives updates for distributed training and inference.
