## Summary

Tuist, a small company, built its own internal operations platform called Atlas instead of relying on off-the-shelf SaaS tools, drawing inspiration from Shopify's internal tooling philosophy. Atlas covers sales/CRM, finances, and product operations, all built on Elixir with Phoenix LiveView, a custom design system called Noora, and an in-house agent framework called Condukt. The platform uses LLMs (currently Kimi 2.6 via Fireworks AI) to route context, summarize deals, categorize transactions, and act on observability signals from tools like Grafana and Sentry. It exposes an MCP interface and a Slack bot inspired by Shopify's River, and runs entirely on the company's own Kubernetes cluster. The team plans to expand Atlas into document search and is considering open-sourcing the product-management side of their process, though not Atlas itself.

## Questions this post answers

### How does Tuist's internal Elixir framework Condukt let AI agents run tools remotely and securely?

Condukt lets tools execute outside the process or machine running the agent, spawning them in isolated environments with their own security boundary. This matters when an agent touches financial or production data. Because the abstraction is general, Condukt can also drive full coding harnesses like opencode or pi as tools the agent invokes when it needs to write code.

_Developers designing agent-tool isolation patterns can follow real-world architectures like this one on daily.dev._

### Which LLM does Tuist use to power its internal operations agents, and why?

Tuist runs Kimi 2.6 hosted through Fireworks AI for its operations agents, choosing it for a strong balance of value against cost. For more demanding coding-related tasks they may explore other models better suited to that work, and their architecture is built so swapping the underlying model is a small change rather than a rewrite.

_Teams evaluating LLM providers for cost versus capability trade-offs can track comparisons like this on daily.dev._
