Tamriel Rebuilt and Project Tamriel are two long-running community mod projects that have spent over 20 years collaboratively adding the rest of the fictional continent of Tamriel into The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind. Starting from a single forum post in 2002, thousands of volunteers have built a modded world comparable in size to a small country. The projects have survived where others failed by releasing small, frequent updates rather than large infrequent ones, and have grown closer over time through shared asset repositories, training protocols, and tooling.
