# Integrate OpenShift AI and PG Airman MCP Server

**[Red Hat Developer](https://daily.dev/sources/rhdev)** · 8 min read · 0 upvotes · 0 comments

## Summary

A Data Governance Copilot built on Red Hat OpenShift AI and EnterpriseDB's PG Airman MCP server enables non-technical users to query PostgreSQL databases using natural language while enforcing data governance and PII compliance. The system combines schema metadata, user-uploaded governance policies, and an open-weight LLM (Nemotron) via vLLM to generate governance-aware SQL. A Helm-based quickstart deploys the full stack on an OpenShift cluster, including a sample e-commerce PostgreSQL database. The solution runs entirely within a controlled hybrid or on-prem network, avoiding vendor lock-in. This is part one of a four-part series covering deployment; future parts will address agentic AI theory, architecture, and security.
