## Summary

Intel reported Q2 2026 revenue of over $16 billion, a 25% year-over-year increase and the company's fastest growth since 2011. Adjusted EPS of 42 cents doubled Wall Street's 21-cent estimate. The data centre and AI division led growth with a 59% revenue surge to over $6 billion. Despite strong results and Q3 guidance above consensus, shares fell during extended trading, continuing a 28% July slide. CEO Lip-Bu Tan cited AI-driven compute demand and noted the advanced 14A manufacturing process is ahead of schedule. Intel signed 10 long-term foundry agreements and is now supply-constrained in its data centre segment. The US government holds roughly 10% of Intel via a Chips Act agreement. Investors remain cautious, seeking proof that the foundry business can land marquee customers for its most advanced chips.
