Linux kernel EDAC driver support is being prepared for Intel's upcoming Xeon Diamond Rapids server processors, expected to launch in 2027. The key change involves restructuring the EDAC driver to handle Diamond Rapids' Retry Read Error Log (RRL), which now operates at DDR sub-channel granularity rather than full memory channel granularity. The RRL also expands CORRERRCNT register width from 4 to 8 bytes while reducing register count from 8 to 4. These patches have been queued in the edac-for-next Git branch and are expected to be merged into the Linux 7.2 kernel. Additionally, Nova Lake H SoC support has been added to the IGEN6 EDAC driver with accommodations for minor differences from Panther Lake H.
