Plugins are either links to apps/tools built on the API or agent instruction files (SKILL.md) that let AI agents like Claude Code, Cursor, or Codex interact with a user's daily.dev data via the daily.dev MCP server. Submissions go through a review process, author badges credit creators, and developers can register OAuth apps for sign-in support. The company notes it cannot audit third-party plugin code and advises the same caution applied to any npm package or GitHub repo. ## Content Over the years and in last few weeks (since launch of Public API) community has been building cool stuff on top of daily.dev. SDKs, morning readers and other side projects that never left someone's laptop. The problem? Nobody else could find them or use them easily. So we built a home for them. Meet the **daily.dev Marketplace**: plugins that add new features to your daily.dev, built and shared by developers for developers. ## Here's what's new - **Browse plugins**: Discover tools and apps other developers built on daily.dev, all in one place at [daily.dev/marketplace](https://daily.dev/marketplace). - **Use them your way**: Open a plugin's app directly, or hand it to your agent with a ready-to-paste prompt for Claude Code, Cursor, Codex and friends. - **Submit your own**: Built something? Share it with the community in a couple of minutes. - **Author badges**: Every plugin shows who built it, so credit goes where it's due and you can also validate what it does. ## What's a plugin, exactly? Nothing scary, we promise. A plugin can be one of two things (for now): - **A link** to an app or tool built on top of daily.dev Public API, like a personal dashboard or an RSS feed of your For You page. - **Agent instructions** (a `SKILL.md` file) that teach your AI agent a new trick with your daily.dev data. Think "summarize what I bookmarked this week" or "tune my feed to what I actually read". Skills work best with the [daily.dev MCP server](https://docs.daily.dev/mcp-server/), which gives your agent access to your feed, bookmarks and profile. No code to install, no build step. If you can build a small app or write a good prompt, you can ship a plugin. ## How to try it **Using a plugin:** open the Marketplace and pick one. If it links to an app, just open it. If it comes with agent instructions, hit the copy button and paste it into your agent. Your agent needs your daily.dev API token or a connection to the [daily.dev MCP server](https://docs.daily.dev/mcp-server/). You can set up both in Settings → API. **Submitting a plugin:** go to Marketplace → Submit, fill in the name, a short pitch and the about page, then add a link, a `SKILL.md`, or both. Prefer the terminal? You can also submit through the Public API or the MCP server, so your agent can publish the skill it just wrote for you. Our team reviews every submission before it goes live, and you can track yours under **My submissions**. Building an app that other people will use? Register it as an **OAuth app** so they can sign in with daily.dev, no personal API token required. ## Q&A **Are plugins safe to use?** We review every plugin before it goes live, but we can not own or audit the code behind them when they are submitted as apps or links. Apps run on their authors' servers and skills are instructions your agent will follow. So do what you already do with any npm package or GitHub repo: check who built it, read the `SKILL.md` before handing it to your agent, and only connect apps you trust.
