# Introducing Omnideck: an open source multi-agent workbench

## Summary

Omnideck is an open-source, local-first multi-agent AI workbench that runs entirely on your own machine. It lets you create multiple specialized AI agents, each with its own model, system prompt, and tools. Agents can spawn sub-agents, run scheduled background tasks, and connect to integrations — all with zero telemetry and an encrypted credential vault. It requires a container engine (Docker or Podman) and an LLM source (local Ollama or a cloud API key). Available via Homebrew on Mac/Linux or as a binary, with a setup wizard included.

Omnideck is a standalone AI agent workbench that runs on your machine... not someone else's cloud. You own your agents, your models, your machine. You create multiple specialized agents, each with its own model, system prompt, and tools. They can spawn sub-agents, run scheduled background tasks, and work with your integrations — all with zero telemetry and an encrypted credential vault.

It is an open-source, local-first, multi-agent AI workbench with a real UI, not just a terminal. You need a container engine (Docker or Podman), an LLM source (a local Ollama install or a cloud API key), and about five minutes.

Install with Homebrew on Mac or Linux, or grab a binary. The setup wizard does the rest. Try it out!
