Qt Company has released an official Model Context Protocol (MCP) tool that gives AI agents structured access to Qt's full API reference and documentation guides. Instead of fetching full HTML pages via web search (wasting thousands of tokens on navigation chrome and irrelevant content), the tool exposes two endpoints — qt_documentation_search and qt_documentation_read — that return only relevant, version-accurate documentation excerpts. The service covers Qt 6.11 and Qt 6.8 LTS, works with Claude Code, Claude Desktop, GitHub Copilot, and Qt Creator 20 Beta, and is currently available without authentication via the Claude Marketplace or manual MCP server configuration.
