# Introducing the Godot Asset Store – Godot Engine

**[Godot](https://daily.dev/sources/godot)** · 4 min read · 2 upvotes · 0 comments

## Summary

The Godot Foundation has launched the Godot Asset Store, replacing the long-standing Asset Library. The new store is live, stable, and will be fully integrated in Godot 4.7. It uses Godot's shared account system, so existing community accounts work immediately. The old Asset Library will remain running for older engine versions but is now deprecated and will become read-only. Key upcoming features include the ability to buy and sell assets and easier donation support for free plugins. Publishers are encouraged to manually migrate their assets, as automatic migration was ruled out due to account linking, permission, and hosting issues.
