It works with MCP-compatible clients including VS Code, Cursor, Claude Code, Codex CLI, and Gemini CLI. Testing showed that Claude Code with the MDN MCP provided significantly more accurate browser support information than without it — for example, correctly identifying Firefox 151 as the first browser to ship the \`shadowrootslotassignment\` attribute and Web Serial API support, where the model without MCP gave outdated or incorrect answers. Responses with the MCP were also roughly twice as fast since the model didn't need to scrape HTML pages for current data.
