iOS 27 beta 1 has been released for developers, bringing a wide range of updates. Key highlights include Liquid Glass customization controls, updated app icons with improved contrast, extra-large widgets, a redesigned Siri accessible via the Dynamic Island, new AI-powered photo editing tools (cleanup, reframe, extend), improved Safari tab organization with website change notifications, independent volume controls for alarms and ringtones, Wi-Fi connectivity assist, enhanced parental controls, systemwide live captions, and numerous accessibility improvements. Performance is notably smooth for a first beta, and Apple Intelligence now occupies 16+ GB of storage. The update is not recommended for main devices yet; public beta is expected in July.
