IQM Quantum Computers, a Finnish maker of superconducting quantum systems, has appointed Barbara Venneman — a Vanguard board director and former global head of Deloitte Digital — to its board ahead of a shareholder vote on June 25. That vote will decide whether IQM completes its SPAC merger with Real Asset Acquisition Corp (RAAQ), which would make it the first European quantum computing company listed on Nasdaq at a $1.8 billion pre-money valuation. The deal includes a $146 million PIPE, earlier €50 million BlackRock financing, and IQM's $172 million balance sheet, putting expected cash at closing above $450 million. Unlike cloud-only quantum providers, IQM sells on-premises superconducting quantum hardware, having shipped 21 systems to 13 customers including four of the world's top ten supercomputing centres. The company reported ~€31 million in 2025 revenue and over $100 million in cumulative bookings, with technology partners including Nvidia, HPE, and AWS.
