# Is creating my own names that bad

**[R16 Studio: Wake Up](https://daily.dev/sources/wakeup)** · [@trifon4o](https://daily.dev/trifon4o) · 1 min read · 0 upvotes · 0 comments

## Summary

A writer defends their choice to use unconventional character name spellings (e.g., 'Ammy' instead of 'Amy') as an intentional creative decision to make characters feel unnatural or extraordinary, dismissing criticism about the spelling as trivial.

## Content

Hello everyone,

I received a complaint that I wrote the name Ammy wrongly, yes it is wrong, but I don't care, the idea of the character is to be unnatural and not ordinary, so yeah I know That Amy is right, but I don't think it's such a big pain in the ass that there's an one norey "M".
