The initiative aims to establish technological sovereignty by supporting multiple quantum computing technologies developed within Israel. Alongside the quantum tender, the government issued two Requests for Information: one for a national Physical AI testing ground capable of simulating real-world environments for robotics and autonomous systems, and another to explore development of sovereign foundation AI models. No technical specifications, funding levels, or timelines were disclosed. The moves place Israel alongside Japan and the UK in launching national quantum programs, reflecting a global trend of governments investing in domestic advanced computing infrastructure. ## Full article daily.dev links to this article rather than hosting it.
